Before I was a photographer, I built and ran a screen printing company called Muckles Ink in Binghamton, New York. From 2010 to 2020, we printed apparel for hundreds of small businesses -- restaurants, gyms, nonprofits, bands, local shops. We were a staple of that community. I built the systems, ran the workflow, and eventually sold the business.
Printing tee shirts is widgets. You take an order, set up a screen, pull ink, ship product. It is deeply systematic. I am a systems guy. That is how I think about everything -- including websites, SEO, and online presence. When I moved to Santa Fe and started shooting weddings, I applied the same operational thinking to building my own online presence from zero.
Today I rank on page 1 for two of the hardest local keywords in Santa Fe (santa fe wedding photographers and santa fe elopement photographer). My brand name is #1. I have 89 five-star reviews across Google, The Knot, WeddingWire, and Thumbtack with a 5.0 average. I built a full blog pipeline and a system powered by AI that manages my entire online presence while I shoot. The whole infrastructure runs on a few hundred a month.
